About Me
I’m a (early) twenty something New Zealander. I live on Australia’s eastern seaboard, where bogans reigned triumphant during the ‘90s, informative signposting is unheard of, the economy is booming and winters are like summer at home.
Art and its many many forms intrigue me. I love photography, painting, fashion, gardening and landscaping, household to industrial design, pottery, drawing, cuisine, architecture, literature and the performing arts. My inclination towards varying methods of artistic expression has meant I’ve never become exceedingly brilliant at anything in particular. I am an artistic jack-of-all-trades.
If art is what makes me love life, science is what makes me think about it. Ecology, geology, mineralogy, hydrology, chemistry and biology. Anthropology, politics, history, law, psychology and sociology. I have an undergraduate degree in environmental science because it was the most broad-spanning degree I could find (after I decided studying art would tip me over the edge of obsessed). At the moment I’m part way through a master’s degree in the same field.
I especially like walking in the forest in autumn when the air is frozen and the sky is boldly BLUE. The weather when one moment is squalling and the rain beats at the windows and next the sun is shining gleaming reflections from the wet grass.
